Testimonials

As recommended we downloaded the app, filled with information, about how to access the site and treehouse instructions. very good idea. Check in was seamless. It felt very professional set up. Treehouse clean and had everything we needed dish washer was an added bonus, gas barbecue and coffee machine, all added to the luxury. I liked the added mix of faux and real plants, also selection of coffee table books were nice to browse through,.It was private and felt safe. Outdoor bath is a must anytime of day very relaxing, nice touch with lights in the trees above the bath.and faux candles, there was so much hot water, We liked the two different balcony’s a must for catching the sun while having a meal. We booked Jo@massage we are so pleased we would recommend either hot stone or holistic massage. Jo was lovely and so good at her job. We had our massage outside beside the bath. To be able to have a massage while listening to the birds singing was so relaxing.Welcome basket was full of local goodies, like cheese. We didn’t sight see because we know Somerset well. We did walk to the community hub in Wooky for a coffee and cake took about 28 minutes. And what a community vibe.

Fantastic treehouse, beautifully finished inside and out. The hosts do a fantastic job and it felt private and quiet the whole stay. We also had massages in our treehouse by Jo from Massage by Jo which was awesome!

This is a little bit cozier than your normal nest in the trees. From the king-size bed to the sofa by the wood burner and the incredible bathtub out on the deck, Dabinett Treehouse is a chic, stylish haven. Now enhanced with our latest addition, a new room designed to elevate your experience. This room includes a smart TV with Netflix for your entertainment, a gas-powered firepit for warmth, and comfy bean bags with blankets to snuggle into during cooler times.

Sip your morning coffee looking out across miles of the Somerset levels, nip over to the neighbouring vineyard to pick up a bottle of something special, then bathe under the stars at the end of a perfect day of indulgence. Enjoy authentic culinary experiences with our new gas-powered Gozney pizza oven and a traditional Tandoor oven for delightful Indian cuisine, complete with authentic Neapolitan pizza packages available on our extras page. A drinks cooler is also installed to keep your lovely drinks at the perfect temperature.

If you want to work up an appetite, then head off on great local walks in the Mendips, with Ebor Gorge and the stunning views from Deer’s Leap both local favourites, or jump on the Dutch vintage bikes to explore further afield.

There’s Wells Cathedral for a bit of history, food festivals, carnivals and the Frost Fayre in various seasons, and even a local goat farm where you can pick up some fabulous cheese.

If you don’t fancy cooking, then take your pick from any of three walkable pubs: The Pheasant Inn at the end of the lane which runs behind the treehouse, The Burcott, or the Ring O’Bells in Wookey.

In the treehouse, you’ll find everything you need for a quiet evening in. Throw the doors open if the weather’s good, light the wood burner if it’s chilly, then either fire up the Weber BBQ or cook in the indoor combi oven, before a post-prandial coffee from the Nespresso machine.

As well as the bath out on the deck, there’s a flushing loo and a drench shower in the bathroom, although you’d be mad not to have at least one amazing soak outdoors.

The whole space has been beautifully crafted to immerse you in the quiet of the country. You’ll hear the birds in the morning, maybe owls hunting at dawn and dusk, and possibly catch sight of deer foraging in the woods around you.

With the Mendips on your doorstep and the vineyard just next door, it’s the perfect place for a few days of hearty hiking, lazy bathing, culinary delights, and everything in between.

If travelling on the M4, exit at Junction 18 for Bath and follow the A39 to Wells.

Directions from Wells:

Take the Cheddar Road (A371) west out of Wells. Just as the houses on your left end you will reach the cemetery (Elm Close), bear off to the left onto the Wedmore Road (B3139).  After a mile you will pass the Burcott Inn on your right. Keep going for another 400 yards and you will see the Pheasant Inn at a fork in the road. Take the minor road (Castle Lane) on your left signposted Fenny Castle. Follow this, past the vineyard (go down the hill between the vineyard and the red brick cottage), you will go along some minor bends, then a sharper right hand bend. Within 100 yards is a junction with a farm on your left. Keep going straight on, you will pass Honeymead Farm. Only another 250 yards to go now. Watch out because the Lane narrows and is popular with horses, cyclists and walkers. After 200 yards you will see the tall firs which are the northern boundary of the property. The entrance is another 50 yards on the left hand side at the bottom of the small hill. Brown gates and Topiary? Yes you’ve made it to The Orchard!

Take the minor road (Castle Lane) on your left signposted Fenny Castle. Follow this, past the vineyard (go down the hill between the vineyard and the red brick cottage), you will go along some minor bends, then a sharper right hand bend. Turn right in 120 yards and follow lane for approx 1 mile. Turn right at T-Junction, go past the farm immediately on your right, The entrance is next on the right hand side.
